Author, What's the Point of School?

Hi! My name is JP Ay and I am studying for my Masters in Biochemistry at the University of Oxford. After leaving secondary school, I have noticed a growing disconnect between the skills that students are taught in academia and those which are actually useful when working and living in the real world. Therefore, last year November I self-published a book called 'What's the Point of School?" which questions the current UK secondary school curriculum and whether it is fit to raise students in the 21st Century. When I am not studying or trying to learn new life-skills, I enjoy reading about forensics and (criminal) psychology; I am also a huge Marvel fan and have recently started volunteering for the NHS.
